UPDATE
DECEMBER 30, 20255
Since the creation of this page, I have begun the move to a semi-retirement status, only taking court-appointed appellate cases through the Michigan Appellate Assigned Counsel System (MAACS) and occasionally court-appointed probation violation cases.
Amendment VI
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed; which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted by witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor; and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.
I have been practicing criminal defense since 2009, predominantly through court-appointed cases in Macomb County for felonies 5 years or less. I have defended clients in misdemeanor and ordinance violations in the District Courts throughout Macomb, Oakland and Wayne Counties as well. I have also defended clients in probation violation and parole violation charges. Since 2016, I’ve been an appointed appellate counsel throughout the State of Michigan as a member of Michigan Appellate Assigned Counsel System (MAACS). I am detail-oriented and always gives my clients all their legal options. I keep myself updated with the ever changing laws to assure clients the best guidance and representation for optimal legal outcomes. I am a member of the following professional organizations:
